One of those days

When it stings

In an instant

The trajectory I was on

Has done a 180

And now

I’m kicking my feet

To stay above water

Drowning

In one of those waves of life

That takes you by surprise

And pulls you under

And you have no choice

But

To endure it

And hope

That your head breaks the water

And you get that breath

That you are fighting for.
