Because the reaper is out there

Snatching up

So many of us

In so many ways

Hold onto them

While you got them

Let them know

You love their soul

Fight for

More life

And inspire it

In the ones you cherish

You never know

When their fire will perish

It is our relationships

That redeem us

As flawed as we are

We are still a star

Contained in flesh

None us know

What happens after death

We have the moment

And in it

We must hold it

And mold it

To our will

And not our will to power

But our will to love each other .
