A Little Push

A little push

And the ivory tower fell

   The tower full of power

Saw its final hour

   A little wind

And the country broke from within

  The elites got beat

And the revolution was televised on repeat

    We won!

We won!

   But, damn . . .

We lost the sun . . .

   Only flashes of lightning

Illuminate our dark faces

   With desperate eyes

In the spotlight

   No sun on our skin

She burned when the country fell

Our eyes look up at a dark sky

Stuck in a world without light

But, hey, at least we won our fight

At least the ivory tower finally fell

 Awake from their spell

The world looked like hell

   We can see!

We can see!

   Look at our poisoned sea’s!

Look inside the mind

   And see another poisoned ocean

Look at another screen

   And feel the soul bleed

Listen closely

  As the minority silently screams

   What did it all mean??

What did it all mean?

   All that we did

All that we became

   For what?

A broken throne?

    A fallen tower?

A struggle for power?

Selling anything to make a buck

Collective adhd

No one gives an actual fuck

If it doesn’t affect us

    Then, oh well

No future

  Just the present

Just another dipshit president

    Overstimulated

Overly individual

   Stuck in the subjective

The collective neglected

  Lost in the mental

    A little push

And we all come crumbling down

Now,

    In the darkness

We have to build something new

. . . You got any ideas on how to build a better world from scratch?

The Mountain Moved

The mountain moved! I swear the mountain across the river moved! You see, I asked for it to. It was blocking my view of the sunset. So I closed my eyes, and in my mind, I kindly asked the mountain to

Behind Her Eyelids

A nightmare fluttered behind her eyelids. She was naked and her ankle was chained to an anchor. The current raged against her. She swam and swam and swam going nowhere. The sea was cold; the sky was
