The Curse Of Understanding

We must live with every decision we ever make,

But we will only know if they are good decisions

After we’ve made them;

And we will only be able to understand them,

When we can look back and can be more objective.

That’s the curse of understanding–

We can only know afterwards,

And can only change,

If we embody what we learn.

But in order to embody what we learn,

We must believe it,

With every ounce of our soul.

And then,

We must practice what we think we know.

There will be a lot of stumbling up this hill,

But it is only because of those stumbles,

That we learn how to walk on the path of life.
