Someone broke into my car last night,

And normally I wouldn't give shit;

There's never been anything of value in there. Not really.

But,

Last night

I had someone inside my house I'd like to keep safe,

And now,

The idea of some crook

Right outside where she was sleeping,

Really,

Bothers me.

If someone ever hurt her . . . I don’t know if there are any limitations to what I might do.

I have someone to protect from this dirty old world of ours.
