Snapping

My niece turned one

My father needed a storage unit full of shit cleared out

The mother and aunt ask about the book

My sister argues with me about reality

My brother drives me home

After a night of drinking and drugs

And my dog sleeps on my couch

The nephew wants to watch the new Mario movie

But a friend has a birthday today

And I said I’d be there

The roommate wants to go to a dog park

And my boss calls me

Telling me

I need to work tomorrow

And it all feels like

I am a puppet

And all of my strings

Are being pulled by them

And they are all pulling me

In different directions

And it feels

Like

I might

Snap into pieces
