Questions For The Soul

Have you ever stared into the eyes of a lion and seen yourself?

Have you ever stopped to meet your shadow and been scared by it?

Have you ever seen your future and decided to go another way?

Have you ever gone back and remembered all of your favorite moments before they faded away?

Have you ever taken your ruins and made a gold palace inside of your soul out of them?

Have you ever meditated under a waterfall, but instead of a waterfall that you’re under, you are sitting down in your shower, letting the cold water rain down on your head?

Have you ever remembered yourself as the poison that ruined the moment?

Have you ever distanced yourself from everyone you’ve ever known, and from everyone that you might someday know, then climbed a mountain, only to shout  at the people below, screaming at them in an attempt to remind them of how badly they need each other in order to grow? . . . Have you ever heard those echoes in your soul?

Have you ever seen yourself as a hypocrite?

Have you ever lied about your life and then worked hard to make that lie true some day?

Have you ever imagined God however you’d like?

Have you ever given up on love?

Have you ever been exhausted to the point of collapsing only to look around and realize that nobody at your job cared about your suffering?

Have you ever traded away your time for money?

Have you ever believed in yourself to the point of madness?

Have you ever quit your job to become a fighter and a writer?

Have you ever taken a chance?

Have you ever reflected on what you might regret?

Have you ever escaped into a world inside of your mind in hopes that it’ll change the world outside of the mind?

Have you ever fallen in love with someone and never told them about it?

Have you ever felt like a coward in front of people that care about you?

Have you ever cried over a blonde whore before?

Have you ever become who you hoped you would?
