Our great war is a silly one 

   It really is


It is not a war over land


   Or over which God is the one true God


Or how a society should be governed 


   Our great war is not some brave rebellion 


It’s not a fight for freedom


   It’s not even a class war anymore


And it’s not a war to take down a tyrant or a terrorist organization 


    It’s nothing like that . . .



No . . .


 No . . .

Our great war is not like the past wars, not even close


Our great war,

mine and yours—the great war of 2024—is a war for our attention. 



Yes, our great war

  


      Is a war for

   


Your attention.


Will you fight for yourself?
