My boy, Achilles, once told this sexy ass slave lady,
“The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now.”
You better believe my guy got laid spitting poetry of that caliber at her.
Yeah, yeah, those words poured like fine wine right before it was time for us to sack Troy. Timing is everything in poetry. It's got to be the right time to hit em in the soul. You know?
But, what the hell does that guy know?
He may have gotten Hector, and Hector may have been the best man that ever lived, but a sad little wobbly arrow got Achilles in the end.
Ha! What did he know?! He was only the greatest warrior to ever maybe have lived . . .
This myth of a man, what did he understand about being a man? . . .
