I wouldn’t mind
Having more time
To waste away
On my cell phone
Or more time
To figure out life
And I wouldn’t mind
Knowing
How time is flowing
I don’t know if I’d want to know
When my time would end
I might be better off trying to pretend
That there is no end
Like so many of us do
One eye on the past,
One eye on the future
And the third eye on the present . . .
But
Sometimes the meaning behind gifts
Shifts
And this present
Is just a piece of the puzzle
And not the missing piece that we think it is
Take a breath and take it all in
What you’ve been
Where you are
And where you can go
It’s all apart of this unknown time flow
That we don’t control
I ask myself,
How can getting more time be a gift
If we don’t do anything with it?
