Modern Romance

In today’s world,

Most young men learn romance from Porn

    Way before they ever have the courage 

To try real romance with a real lady;

     And by that point in their young lives,

Their idea of women and love is so corrupted

      By porn and society,

That naturally,

     The male is toxic to the female. 

I’ve heard people claim that porn is worse for you than cigarettes . . .

Now, take a second

       And imagine a world where young men learned about love from poetry, literature and art. 

What a different world that must’ve been . . .

I’m nostalgic for a time so long ago,

A time that I can never know . . .
