Gratitude

Gratitude,

that was it,

that was the word that the two men kept using.

It was Gratitude

that Dostoevsky's Devil lacked.

Gratitude…

They made it seem so important.

They made it seem like the key.

But I say to them,

‘Key?

Is there really such a thing for life, gentlemen?

I’m not so sure…

But I bet

Gratitude is definitely

a piece of the puzzle-

and probably a big piece,

i’ll give you that.’
