Float

Updated: Nov 15

It starts off with a thought

And then it runs off

And takes you with it

As it breathes life

Your creation

You struggle to

Follow it

Like a balloon

In the hand of a

Sprinting child

Lagging behind

Except the balloon is you

And the wild child

Is also you

It starts off with a thought

And then you’re floating

As it takes you on a ride

With just your arms and legs to save you

You kick and swim

Against the current

But like a leaf in the wind

It isn’t all about you

And you realize

You aren’t in control

No

Not even a little

Consciousness and life

You realize

Is just a ride

That you didn’t pay to go on

You were just

Born to ride the wind

Until the day when

The wind stops

So, float.

Float while you can.
