Equinox

Equinox,
The perfect balance of light and darkness.
I like the light,
But I thrive in the darkness.
I love planting seeds,
But now is the time to harvest.
Looking to the future, a day-dream,
Those are for the children of summer.
Nothing ever lasts.
Now is when we let go of the past,
To make room for:
New dreams,
New plans,
We die a little, to change entirely.
To let go.
To fall.
To die.
Just to be reborn after the storms . . .
Change is inevitable.
Change is natural.
Nothing ever stays the same.
We live in a constant state of change.
And on the equinox, we let go of the light we’ve grown so attached to.
