Do you really want to die alone?

As a complete unknown?

    With all of this fire still raging inside of your soul?

Is that how you want to go?

     Don’t you want to see where your light will take you before you get too old?

Do you really want to die all alone,

    Never finding a home?

As your name fades away

   To the sands of time

Will a few people remember your shine?

Is that really how you want to go out,

   As a complete unknown?

You would die

   Living a life where you never tried?

When you go to the grave,

   Will you have blazed your trail?

Will you have failed?

    Will you have lived?

Will you have trusted someone with your bones?

  Or will you die

As a complete unknown?

Of all the things you could be

   And you are okay with being nothing?

Rolling,

    Like a stone,

A complete unknown.

   Better to have loved and lost,

Then to stay home all alone,

   Night after night;

Scared of the fight;

    Afraid of the light;

With your screen’s illuminating your eyes.

   Will you get out of the maze

Before you die?

   Or will you pass away

Without living one goddamn day?

All of this potential brewing inside of you

    Will it get washed to the sea

Or will you break your chains

   And be free?

Will you free yourself

   From yourself

Before you die alone

   As a complete unknown?

The Mountain Moved

The mountain moved! I swear the mountain across the river moved! You see, I asked for it to. It was blocking my view of the sunset. So I closed my eyes, and in my mind, I kindly asked the mountain to

Behind Her Eyelids

A nightmare fluttered behind her eyelids. She was naked and her ankle was chained to an anchor. The current raged against her. She swam and swam and swam going nowhere. The sea was cold; the sky was
