The Two Sides Of The Sky

Into the sun

Until the day is done

Right into the horizon

Where that star pokes her head out

Illuminating our world

As we head right into that day

Until she goes back to sleep

And so do we

We follow her around

When she’s up

We’re up

And when she’s down

And the moon is waking up

And the stars start to pop

Some of us lay our head on cold pillows

But others become alive when the moon shines

We become monsters

Drinking and fucking

Driving and thriving

Surviving

Lying and full of lust

Animals seeking other animals

The two sides of the sky

Reflect

The two sides of us

Or

we reflect the two sides of the sky

Night fighting against day.
