Another Superhero Movie

Another superhero movie is playing in theaters this weekend.

The same tale as always,

‘good’ against ‘evil’.

A calling to responsibility.

The story of God vs Satan.

The story of a superhuman savior.

The story of Jesus.

It’s just being dressed up,

and with current special effects,

its being told

over and over and over again.

These are the movies that make the most money.

Why??

Do we really need the same story to be retold this many times??

Why?

I used to think

that our obsession with superhuman powers

was our attempt

to create

our next stage of evolution.

Now,

I don’t know if it is an evolution,

or religious impulse,

that keeps people buying tickets to see these stories.

Well, either way,

these stories feel played out.

Fuck you Disney.
